Advance National Progress Card

The Advance Progress Cards are a new series of national and regional infographic reports on access and uptake of sexual health and related services by gay, bisexual, queer, and other men who have sex with men (cis and trans), and Two-Spirit people (GBT2Q) across Canada.

With statistics compiled from CBRC’s in-person 2018 Sex Now Survey, they offer a snapshot of important findings related to the availability and use of HIV & sexually transmitted and blood-borne infection (STBBI) combination prevention services, as well as mental health services. By highlighting regional strengths and weaknesses, these cards provide a roadmap to ensure more equitable access, more effective interventions and improved HIV/AIDS prevention, research, diagnosis, care, treatment and support initiatives for our communities.

We encourage governments, public health practitioners, non-governmental organizations, community groups, researchers and others to use the Advance Progress Cards to inform the future direction of HIV and STBBI policy, programming and research to positively affect the health and well-being of GBT2Q people.

The National Progress Card is now available to download below. In the coming months, we will also be releasing city-specific cards for nine Canadian cities (Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, London, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg).
